About Leanne and her Pilates background

my story

Leanne Franceschi

Leanne Franceschi is a South Texas native planting roots in North Carolina.  She completed a 500 hour comprehensive Pilates certification in 2019 through Lolita's Legacy Program, created by Lolita San Miguel. She is trained on all Pilates apparatus as well as continues to further her education through workshops and taking Pilates classes with experienced instructors.

Leanne has spent her time during her teaching focusing on the mechanics of the body in relation to our daily movement patterns and how the body will compensate over time.  Leanne started taking Pilates classes herself after dealing with sciatica and long term lower back pain.  She found that Pilates corrected some muscle imbalances and strengthened the core muscles needed to support her back.  When the training opportunity popped up to become an instructor, Leanne decided to take the step to pass on knowledge and help others.  She teaches from a classical style with a mix of different techniques she has found to be effective, all learned from different instructors she admires.

Leanne is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, having trained for seven years with some experience in competition. Leanne understands the importance of recovery, mobility work, and sports conditioning.  She found that Pilates gave her an edge over her training partners by providing perceptive body awareness and endurance in core strength needed for the vigorous full body movements.

Leanne is a married mother of two, with two dogs. She spends her time at home watching movies or gardening with her family.  She enjoys being outdoors, baking with her daughter, and traveling to visit friends and family.
